Leg press, leg sled thoughts

Hello guys,
I was wondering what your thoughts on the "leg sled" (sometimes called leg press or 90 degree leg press) machine is.
I have had great sucess with front/back squating 7-8 times a week for very short sets with only one rep each weight.
But i was thinking of using the leg sled for low intensity days.
My coach loves the machine but i feel front/back squats are enough.
Thoughts?
