Master's Training Methods

I have read the Bulgarian Training forum and found a lot of great information and ideas on weight lifting training, but wonder how or if that system would apply to the typical master's level lifter.
For starters in this debate, my opinion is that the sport of weightlifting is the most benificial style of weightlifting for long term health. It is weight bearing (prevent osteoporosis). It requires a great deal of flexibility (prevents short muscles that produce strain on joints). It requires an enormous amount of core strength (prevents most low back problems). It requires a great deal of stability (prevents injuries from falls). You can work every muscle in the body in either exercise (less time is needed to work out). As a master level lifter, if you push too hard you will get injured. If you don't push hard enough, you will not make progress.
What training frequency do you use for each of the lifts? What other exercises do you perform? Any other input would be interesting.
